David qualified from Bristol vet school in 1995 and gained his RCVS certificate in veterinary ophthalmology in 2004.

Before joining Rowe Referrals in 2012 David had worked in both mixed and small animal practices, 13 years of which were in West Sussex where he developed his interest and a caseload in ophthalmology. His general practice background gives him a pragmatic and practical approach to cases and client communication. David has been a recognised clinical teacher at Bristol Vet school and was on the committee of the British Association of Veterinary Ophthalmologists for a number years in various roles. He is now a Clinical Director at Rowe Referrals.

Clinically his area of interest is in the assessment and maintenance of tear film health and corneal surgery, in particular the management of corneal disease in brachycephalic dogs.
