Kate graduated from the University of Bristol in 1998 and joined Rowe Veterinary Group soon afterwards - she loves it so much she is still there 25 years later!! In time-honoured tradition, Kate started out as a mixed practice vet and whilst enjoying all aspects of general practice, the novelty of 3am calving’s in the middle of winter soon wore off and she developed a particular interest in Ultrasonography and Internal Medicine in dogs and cats which led to her being awarded the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2006 and subsequently becoming a RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine. In 2016, Kate completed a PgC in Cardiology through ESVPS and Harper Adams University and gained RCVS Advanced Practitioner Status in Small Animal Cardiology. Kate is a member of the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society.

Outside of work Kate lives with her husband Brian, also a vet, Labrador Frank and cat Sprout. She loves to travel and if that can be combined with a challenge, all the better! Among her adventures, Kate has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro & trekked to Everest Base Camp, cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats and most recently has walked 500 miles along the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain.
