Equine Ophthalmic Surgery

This wet lab based day dedicated to equine ophthalmic surgery. Based at the equine eye clinic under the southern edge of the Cotswolds and less than 10 minutes drive from the M5. Using fresh cadaver material we aim to cover nerve blocks, lavage systems, lid suturing techniques, corneal surgery (conjunctival grafting, keratectomy and keratotomy) and enucleation. We will also have the facilities to demonstrate equine cataract and glaucoma surgery techniques. Bring along pictures of your own cases for us to discuss.

  • Lavage systems
  • Lid laceration
  • Corneal surgey - conjunctival grafting, surgical treatment of indolent ulcers

  • Cataract and glaucoma surgery demonstration
