Covering the oph-thalmic examination, corneal dis-ease, cataracts and glaucoma this one day course is designed to help you get the most out of your ophthalmic patients & to reassure you that you may know more than you think!

  • Ophthalmic anatomy - what we really need to know and how remembering our anatomy can help to simplify the diagnostic process.
  • The Ophthalmic examination - a systematic approach aimed at the general practioner.
  • How to use direct and the indirect ophthalmascope.
  • The eye in systemic disease.
  • Corneal disease - diagnosis and treatment of common corneal disease.
  • Cataracts - diagnosis and treatment- what is available? what are the risks and benefits of surgery?
  • Glaucoma - diagnosis and management - new medical and surgical options.
  • Ophthalmic oncology (covered in oncology day also)
